I have been riding the pala track now for about 6 months and really enjoy the track layouts for all levels of riders. This has allowed me to get some friends and family involved in riding. So for that I say "Thank You". The only REGRET or Thing that I would like to be addressed is (and mind you I am not putting blame on anyone)that when the guys are using the water hoses and watering when the riders are on the track, that they "SHOULD NOT be putting water on the landing areas. Unfortunately the other day when I was riding i hit one of those areas as water was being applied. Unfortunately I will not be riding at pala for the next 3 months because i now have to have surgery on my knee. This something i have seen previously happen to other riders. Once again this is NOT a blame post, I take full responsibility, but can this be addressed by the supervisors of the track staff. Once again thank you for putting together such a great riding area for us motorcycle junkies.

Sorry to hear what happened. We really do teach and train everyone working the tracks on the proper watering technique. Wind, dust, and environmental responsibility dictate that we try to minimize dust as much as possible and that also means lightly watering the landing areas as well. Please let us know if you see areas that appear to be over-watered. As we head into the hot days of summer, trying to keep the perfect amount of moisture on the tracks is not an easy task.

We all can agree we love to ride, novice, vet or pro. Bad unsafe riding happens when your learning, Us vets need to watch out for other riders, I have tried talking to novice riders, Im 52, and the kids do not respect us older riders. so I stopped riding on weekend @ pala. I ride during the week @ pala, or I ride @ Cahuilla on the weekends. I have been hurt at all the track, but it scary when you are coming down off the front tables and their a bike with rider cutting across the table. Great track to ride during the week. I don't race, I just love to ride..........

Rode the vet track today, love the layout, BUT, whats with the watering, to wet in the corners, really slipper today, can't anybody teach the great people that work their, how to water, right, I know it summer, and dusty, but maybe when they rebuild it, they will add some sand like on the main track, that would be sweet.....

I really hate to jump on the bandwagon, but SERIOUSLY! WHAT'S WITH THE WATERING!!!??? Everyone that rides understands that it has to be done, but not the entire time these guys are standing out there. Blast a little water to keep the dust down. I am completely fed up with getting blasted with the water. Is it some kind of game to keep these guys from getting bored!? THey don't need to water in between each and every rider as they come by. I'm not sure what the answer is. You say that they are trained properly on how to perform their duties, so apparently they just are not listening and don't need to be doing that job anymore. How hard is it to water a damn track properly!? Come on guys!!
